HOD Message
The Department of Zoology was established in August, 2008 (fall semester). Presently, 631 students are enrolled in BS MSc, MPhil and PhD programs and 1349 students are passed out. It is the third largest Department of Hazara University and the most productive Department in term of number of students, published research papers, articles and books. The Department has proved its existence by arranging international seminars and workshops, in curricular and co-curricular activities. It is leading from the front; therefore, it is the reason that the Department of Zoology is among the best and leading Departments of the Hazara University. It is emerging as a source of excellence in specialized areas of Fisheries, Entomology, Integrated Pests Management (IPM), Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Wildlife Conservation and Management, Parasitology, Bioinformatics, Endocrinology, Biotechnology and Molecular Cytogenetics. The student’s intake is generally in accordance with the university policy, i.e., both in spring and fall semesters of each year.

To Bring the Department of Zoology at national and international recognized level, Department will focus on the advancement of research in diverse areas of its expertise. Joint research and collaboration with Wildlife, Agriculture, Fisheries Departments and industry on national and international issues of significance and development will excel the process of innovation and improve the research and education....
