This Faculty consists of distinguished scholars with rich tradition of teaching and research and prides. The main aim of the Faculty is to transform your lives and prepare you to respond effectively to the problems faced by our society. The Faculty has expanded both in disciplines and degree programs. Presently the Faculty of Arts and Humanities offer a wide range of degree programs in the disciplines of English, Urdu, Education, Archeology, Art & Design, Architecture, Tourism and Hospitality, Communication and Media Studies and Pakistan Studies. Our Faculty along with the research students are actively involved in R&D activities where the Faculty earned the following funded projects.

In addition to the R&D activities, the Faculty believes in providing practical and relevance education to its students. Various activities such as field trips, training workshops, and consultation sessions are arranged to enhance the quality of teaching.

Introduction
Faculty of Arts & Humanities is one of the prominent faculties at HU that offers a variety of academic programs. A number of departments have been created to enable each academic programme to grow independently. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities performs research and education in various fundamental fields of Arts and Humanities. Most of disciplines of this Faculty have state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities labs and other facilities. The Faculty is also offering PhD level programs in various fields. The Faculty receives funded projects on regular basis from various R&D organizations in Pakistan including Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad.
