The Department of Psychology have guided its growth and development since 2007 when the first class entered. The career field in psychology is one of the most challenging and interesting fields today. In many initiatives, students of psychology can apply their knowledge and skills in different areas such as to increase their motivational levels when approaching a task, provide psychotherapy to people suffering from psychological disturbances, behavioral problems, emotional difficulties, stress, and related issues. The field of health psychology offers a wealth of beneficial strategies that can help you to be healthier and happier. Introduction
Department of Psychology was established in August 2007. Main objectives of the department were to focus on the inculcation of basic knowledge and advanced skills demanded by the hospital and NGOs. The Department also focuses on the acquisition of relevant skills to behavioral assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mentally ill and to focus on the translation and adaptation of the tests and their norms development. The Department of Psychology aims at providing the skills need to: 1. Examine the human behavior systematically from many different socio cultural perspectives and will also inculcate intellectual curiosity, power of imagination, creativity, instructional abilities and inspire them to act rationally and decisively under complex conditions. 2. Adjust in their relevant field without any professional hurdles as per the community requirements. 3. Pursue higher research based education. 4. Contribute in the growth of national peace by utilizing professional skills such as effective communication, teamwork, and leadership....
Vision
The vision of the Department of Psychology is to enable the students to serve as intellectual resource base and to apply the science of human behavior for social betterment of Pakistan, to enable the students to have a deeper understanding of improving psychological well being and also to cope with the environmental pressures....
