HOD Message
The Department of Architecture is going through development and its good time. Now in my third year as Head of Department, I recognize the special qualities of the School that have guided its growth and development since the first class entered in 2010. The faculty is uniquely dedicated to teaching, the students bring a creative energy and a passion for learning about the world. Our remarkable building accommodates design teaching and research, spirited debate and social engagement. We work hard and we enjoy working. In addition to Bachelors in Architecture, the department is also offering BS Degree in Landscape Design and Interior Architecture. Our professional degrees in architecture combine the best of arts-humanities education with an education in how to make things - buildings, landscapes, products and environments. ‘Architecture thinking’ is about problem-solving, ideating, creating and making! The legacy of innovation and rigor embedded within an architectural education is unrivaled - the design studio and the relentless push for creative solutions that change old paradigms to produce something new are unique to architectural education. Introduction
Architecture is a multi-disciplinary profession which emerged with state of the art technology in fast growing construction industry incorporating creativity, conceptualization and finalization at three levels of learning comprising of foundation, the intermediate and final stages from inception to conception and then to execution. Department of Architecture was established in Hazara University at garden campus in 2010.
