The Department of Botany, Hazara University was established in 2006. The Department has a distinguished history of excellence and provides outstanding mentoring and quality research facility within the region. The Department offers B.S (Hons), M.Sc, M.Phil and P.hD. programs. The staff and faculty of Department of Botany are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards in teaching and research. The extensive research programs within the Departments spreads over multifarious disciplines and covers all major aspects of modern plant biology. The Department of Botany is striving hard to be ranked among the leading Departments within the region and recognized internationally by the quality of our innovative research, teaching and efficient services delivered through detailed insights of plants sciences. To foster a student-centered and professions-oriented higher education, our commitment is training and capacity building of the next generation of young plant scientists in such a way that they may seek knowledge logically, be imaginative, and converse effectively to meet the demands of the country in particular and of the dynamic world in general
