Introduction
The Department of Pharmacy at Hazara University was established as a fully equipped department in 2022, following approval from the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan as per Notification No. F.No.2-178/2021-PCP, dated Oct 18, 2022. The department received authorization for 100 seats for annual admissions and is currently running its third batch of students. The department is part of the Faculty of Biological and Health Sciences, which is known for its high-quality laboratories and modern equipment, ensuring students receive practical and research-oriented education. The program aims to produce competent pharmacists equipped for various roles in industrial, clinical, hospital, and community pharmacy, aligning with the evolving needs of Pakistan’s healthcare sector. Hazara University itself is a recognized public institution, accredited by the Higher Education Commission and the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, further validating the credibility and standards of its pharmacy program Pharmacy is a diversified health-care profession that connects health with the applied pharmaceutical and medical sciences. The profession is incessantly sprouting and budding to expand its scope of services and responsibilities and concerns to meet the needs of patients in a rapidly transforming healthcare system throughout the globe. Currently, The Pharmacy Profession has progressed into a pronounced scope with a broader range of career opportunities in the line of industrial pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy and nuclear pharmacy. Acceptance requirements and criteria. All admissions are regulated based on the merit. Specific Admission Requirements: Intermediate/Higher Secondary School Certificate/A-Level or equivalent, in pre - medical group with not less than 60% marks from an accredited institution is mandatory.
