6 months DIPLOMA TOUR GUIDING SERVICE

Summary of the Job
To provide tourist guiding service, to organize and operate tour to a general or specific location, sites etc of either local or national scope, demonstrating the necessary combination of skills, language, and knowledge.


Course Duration
The total duration of this curricular program is one semester.  Each consists of four months of inhouse theory and practical’s and a minimum of two weeks internship.  six subjects, 67% practical exposures.

The internship or guiding services in respective areas and submission of a certificate for a diploma.

Introduction & Skill Standards
This course is introduced by DTH (Department of Tourism & Hospitality Hazara University. This course will be organized and delivered at DTH, Hazara University. The duration of this course will be 4 month and minimum of ten students will be trained in each course for Basic Skill development in Tour Guiding. The qualification requirements will be Graduation. The certificates will be awarded to the successful trainers after the course.

This course will be delivered through Class lectures, Audiovisual equipment, and practical work. The practical work includes a tour, site seeing, excursions and trips to different sites of attractions while written and practical test will be taken in the end of the course to evaluate their skill standards.
