Research Associate Position (1)
Applications for a “Research Associate” position are invited to work on ALP funded project “CRISPR- Cas- Based Promoter Editing of Sweet Gene (s) in Locally Adapted Rice Cultivar (s) in Pakistan for Bacterial Bligt Resistance”(Project No. CS 781) in the department of Bioinformatics, Hazara University Mansehra. The candidate must be an M.Phil./M.S. degree holder in Genetics, Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Microbiology, or any other related fields. Experience in Molecular Plant-Microbe Interaction is required; however, preference will be given to the candidate(s) with thesis on and/or experience in molecular aspect(s) of bacterial blight disease of rice and rice genetics. Skill in CRISPR-based genome editing will be a surplus point. Attractive remuneration will be given to the selected candidate. The position is purely temporary; initially for 1 year, followed by annual extension up to maximum 3 years subject to satisfactory performance and funds availability. There shall be no liability on the part of university during or after completion of the project.
