<p><strong>Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad</strong> is a distinguished faculty member of the Department of Bioinformatics, at Hazara University, with more than 13 years of teaching and research experience, including postdoctoral research in Structural Biology and Bioinformatics at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), Shenzhen, China. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Xiamen University, China, where his research focused on protein structure, molecular dynamics, bacterial signaling systems, and computational structural biology.</p><p>Dr. Ahmad is an interdisciplinary researcher with expertise spanning de novo protein design, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational biology, protein engineering, structural bioinformatics, molecular dynamics simulations, and drug discovery. His current research integrates advanced AI-driven methodologies, including RFdiffusion, AlphaFold, protein language models, and QSAR-based approaches, to accelerate therapeutic discovery against cancer, infectious diseases, and neurological disorders.
