The Department of Urdu at Hazara University was established in *October 2010*. Initially, the department started with *MPhil and PhD programs*. In *2012*, an *MA program* was introduced, followed by the launch of a *Bachelor's program* in *Fall 2018*.

I am honored to lead a department that is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and promotion of Urdu language and literature. Established in October 2010, the Department of Urdu at Hazara University has grown to offer Bachelor's, MPhil, and PhD programs, fostering a rich academic environment for the study of Urdu.

With a vast library of *25,000 research books* and a *HEC-approved research journal, Idrak*, our department provides ample resources for scholarly pursuits. We strive to maintain strong ties with national and international institutions, enhancing our academic and cultural engagements.
