A Message from
the Dean

 It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at Hazara University, Mansehra. As Dean of this Faculty, I am privileged to lead a community of dedicated scholars, legal educators, and students committed to the pursuit of justice, knowledge, and social understanding. The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences holds a vital place within the University's broader academic mission. Law and the social sciences together form the intellectual foundation upon which just, informed, and progressive societies are built. Our Faculty is committed to producing graduates who possess not only sound legal and theoretical knowledge but also the critical judgment, ethical integrity, and social awareness necessary to serve their communities and nation with distinction. Our departments offer a comprehensive range of programs in law and the social sciences, designed to provide students with a strong grounding in legal principles, social theory, research methodology, and analytical reasoning. We place particular emphasis on practical exposure, including moot courts, internships, and engagement with real-world legal and social issues, ensuring that our students are well prepared for careers in law, public service, academia, and social development. Our faculty members combine academic excellence with professional experience, providing students with mentorship that bridges theoretical learning and practical application. We are committed to fostering an environment of intellectual rigor, open discourse, and respect for diverse perspectives, recognizing that the study of law and society requires both critical inquiry and empathy. Looking ahead, the Faculty remains focused on strengthening research capacity, expanding collaboration with judicial and governmental institutions, enhancing students' practical legal skills, and promoting awareness of social justice and human rights. We aim to cultivate graduates who are not only competent professionals but also responsible citizens capable of contributing meaningfully to the rule of law and social progress. I extend a warm welcome to all our students, faculty, and visitors.
