I was born in 1981 in Kushum, a small village located in Tehsil Mastuj,District Upper Chitral of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (hereafter KP) Province of Pakistan. I got my early education from Government High School Kushum. Having completed my matriculation, I moved to Peshawar in 1997 for further studies. I completed his undergraduate studies in 2001 and then did my Master in Archaeology from the University of Peshawar in 2003. In 2012, I completed his MPhil in Archaeology from Hazara University, Mansehra. I got enrolled in PhD in the same department and completed my PhD in Archaeology with specialization in the Buddhist Heritage in 2018. I started my professional career as a Research Associate in the Peshawar Museum, Peshawar. From 2003-2006, I was engaged in differed explorations, excavations and documentation projects carried out by the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Government of NWFP now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In October 2007, I was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Management, Hazara University, Mansehra (Pakistan). Meanwhile, I also served UNESCO, Pakistan as a Project Coordinator (Culture). I joined the Department of Archaeology, Hazara University, Mansehra as a lecturer in 2008. I retained the same position till my promotion as an Assistant Professor, Archaeology in the same University. I have in my credit to published more than 20 research papers in various reputed national and international journals including SCIENCE. I also presented more than 15 research papers in national and international conferences/seminars. In 2011, I was selected for the IVLP programme on Cultural Heritage Preservation by the US Department of states. This training workshop was held in different states of USA from March 28 to April 15, 2011. In 2016, I was selected for the IRSIP scholarship by the HEC to complete my PhD research from the University of Wisconsin, Madison USA under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Mark Kenoyer. As a professional Archaeologist, I carried out many archaeological excavations at prehistoric, protohistoric and historic sites in the length and breadth of the KP province. Important among these, are; Archaeological Excavation at Gankoriniotek (2008) in District Chitral, Bhamala Excavations 2014-15 and 2015-16, Taxila and Bado Dheri Excavation 2019-20, Mansehra. I also supervised more 08 MPhil and 10 MA research scholars. Currently I am serving Hazara University, Mansehra as an Assistant Professor Archaeology/Head Department of Tourism & Hospitality and Assistant Editor, Pakistan Heritage, (a double blind peer-reviewed Research Journal of the Department of Archaeology, Hazara University, Mansehra).
